1) Eat Organic Whole Foods
-This means foods minimally processed and as close to nature as possible like fruits, vegetables, butter, eggs, salmon, grass fed beef, and grains (prepared properly).
-Wheat items (breads, cookies, crackers, etc.) should be made from freshly milled flour which sad to say rules out store bought breads, cookies, and most crackers, etc.
[Gen1foods can provide healthy bread options, or we can show you how to make your own freshly milled flour.]
2) Drink water regularly.
-preferably that has been filtered with something similar to the Berkey Water Filter System and not stored in plastic bottles.
3) Consume foods with friendly bacteria (fermented foods).
-This would include foods like yogurt and especially kefir (not reduced fat or low calorie, and no added sugars-you can always add a little honey), kombucha, sauerkraut, kimchi, etc.
4) Regular nutritional movement also known as exercise.
-Just start no matter how small and build up from there-a brisk walk, running in place, rebounding(using a small trampoline-highly recommended), and lifting weights or even something like pushups and squats. Regular exercise is just as important as eating right.
5) Remove Sugary Foods & Drinks
-Many food items bought at the store contain lots of sugar. Check the ingredients for sugar, high fructose corn syrup, maltodextrin, dextrose, etc. Healthier options would be honey, stevia, monk fruit powder, and sucanat; and all used in moderation.
6) Add Supplements
-Its best to get as much of your nutrtion from the foods you eat, but even that can be diffucult due to busy life styles, food availability, and food quality.
-Use supplements especially for Vitamin D3 with K2 (a maintenance dose of D3 would be 10,000 IU daily and that's not a typo), Vitamin C (from organic dried fruit like Camu Camu or a Vitamin C complex), Magnesium Glycinate, and last but not least Potassium because the RDA is 4700mg/day.
7) Change Your Oils
-Use only healthy oils like organic olive oil, coconut oil, avocado oil, even butter, lard, or beef tallow can be an awesome option when cooking.
8) Sleep and Reduce Stress
-Sleep is when your body rebuilds and continued high stress can be devestating to your health (ulcers, high blood pressure, etc.) Take your Magnesium at night and exercise at least three times per week to help with sleep and stress reduction.
9) Address Spiritual Health
-Get to know the God of the Bible. You can start by reading or listening to the Gospel of John. The God of the Bible can give to us everything we need for spiritual life.
